The Ted Marshall Open is a contest to see who can guess how many T.V. shows
will be cancelled during the 2000-01 season. To be eligible, a show must:
- Air sometime between October 16, 2000 and September 16, 2000 on any of the
big six commercial networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, WB, UPN), and
- Presumed not to air a first-run episode after September 16, 2001
20 points are awarded for each cancelled show, plus bonus points (between 1 and 10) as assigned
by the contestant. Shows that are crossed out and have a marker () have presumably been canceled. Shows
that are in italics and have a () nearby have received a full-season order, but still may be cancelled before next
season. An ambulance () indicates the show was put on a hiatus. The large number
indicates a player's score, while the smaller number in parentheses refers to the points lost by shows receiving a
full-season order subtracted from the highest possible score (255), which indicates the player's highest possible
point total.
17 May 2001: Now that all of the 2001 schedules have been released, the 2000-01 LaPlaca is now completed. Congratulations to James Dinan who was the only player to have all ten of his/her picks cancelled. Come back in August for the 2001-02 entry form and be sure to tell everyone about The Ted Marshall Open. |
